CARIMALI OPTIMA SOFT PLUS FULLY AUTOMATIC MACHINE CLEANING PROCESS

 

The machine is equipped to wash the delivery unit with a cleaning tablet and the Milk circuit with the cleaning solution.

The machine will begin a wash cycle of hot water deliveries alternated with pauses. The whole cycle takes approximately 10 minutes.

At the end of 12 hours of operation - single cleaning is required, at the end of 24 hours of operation - double cleaning is needed.

To execute the washing procedure, you need to proceed with the instructions given below:

1.      Check Water Levels

·       Ensure the water level is sufficient in the water dispenser and that there is a direct water connection.

2.      Remove Milk

·       Empty the milk container.

3.      Prepare Cleaning Solution

·       Add 500 ml of water and 10-15 ml of cleaning solution. Pour the mixture into the milk tube container for cleaning. Hot water will flow into the container during this process.

4.      Initiate Cleaning Process

·       On the machine display, press the cleaning icon button.

5.      Machine Display Process

·       Once the display appears, follow the steps shown.

6.      Manual Cleaning Option

·       Select "Manual Cleaning" and skip to "Power Cleaner" mode.

7.      Select Cleaning Mode

·       Choose the "All-in-One" cleaning option.

8.      Switch Off Prompt

·       The display will prompt you to switch off the machine. Select “NO” to continue.

9.      Empty the Grounds Drawer

·       The display will prompt you to empty the ground container. Clean and replace it.

10. Cleaning Solution Reminder

·       The display will confirm if a cleaning solution has been added. Since you've already added it, select "Next."

11. Clean Components

·       Open the front panel and clean internal components using the cleaning brush.

12. Insert Cleansers

·       Insert the cleaning tablet into the brewing chamber and close the front door.

13. Automatic Cleaning Starts

·       The automatic cleaning process will begin and may take several minutes. Once complete, the display will prompt you to power on the machine.

14. Final Cleaning

·       Clean the front coffee spouts, milk spouts, cappuccino nozzle, and drip tray.

When cleaning a Carimali fully automatic coffee machine, it's essential to follow the proper steps to maintain its performance, prevent damage, and ensure the quality of coffee. Below are the do's and don'ts for the cleaning process:

DO's

1.      Using water:

o   You need to use the RO or Purified water.

2.      Turn Off the Machine Properly:

o   Always turn off the machine after completing the cleaning process, starting the cleaning process to ensure safety and prevent malfunctions during cleaning.

 

3.      Use Approved Cleaning Products:

o   Use only cleaning products our company provides such as specialized coffee machine cleaning tablets or liquids.

o   For descaling, use the appropriate descaling solution as specified by Carimali.

 

4.      Clean the Milk System Regularly:

o   Clean the milk frothing system after every use. This includes wiping the milk frothing wand and running the milk cleaning program if the machine has one.

 

5.      Empty the Waste Container:

o   Regularly empty the waste container (drip tray, used coffee grounds, etc.) to prevent overflows and ensure optimal machine function.

 

6.      Perform Daily Cleaning:

o   Clean the coffee brew group using the cleaning brush, coffee outlets, and other surfaces with a damp cloth daily.

 

7.      Clean the external parts:

o   Wipe down the machine’s exterior with a soft, damp cloth to keep it clean and looking good.

 

DON’Ts

1.      Don’t wash the electronic parts:

o   Avoid washing the coffee machine or any electronic components in water.

2.      Don’t Leave Milk in the Milk storage container:

o   Never leave milk in the milk container or tubing for an extended period as it can lead to bacterial growth and a rancid smell, which could damage the machine.

3.      Don’t Use Tap Water (if advised against):

o   Avoid using hard tap water that could lead to scale buildup in the boilers in areas and other components.

4.      Don’t Overfill the Waste Containers:

o   Don't wait until the waste containers are over full, as this can lead to spills and potential damage to the machine.

5.      Don’t Force Any Parts into Place:

o   Be gentle with all parts during cleaning. Forcing components into place can cause damage to delicate parts like the brewing group or milk system.
