CLEANING & MAINTENANCE MANUAL

 

 

MICROBAR DAILY CLEANING PROCEDURE

The machine is equipped to wash the delivery unit with a cleaning tablet and the milk circuit with a cleaning solution. It will begin a wash cycle that consists of hot water deliveries alternated with pauses. The whole cycle will last approximately 4 minutes.

To execute the washing procedure, proceed as follows:

STEP 1: Position a container with 1 liter of water beside the machine. Put the suction tube inside it. Add the specific cleaning solution.

STEP 2: Keep pressing the Decaffeinated key CLEANING & MAINTENANCE MANUAL for about 5 seconds until the display appears.

STEP 3: Open the ground coffee conveyor hatch. Insert the cleaning tablet and close the hatch.

STEP 4: Press the Decaffeinated key WARNING MICROBAR DAILY CLEANING PROCEDURE and the display will show the following icon:

WARNING: If the decaffeinated key is not pressed, after about 20 seconds the machine will automatically continue the washing cycle.

NOTE - During the washing cycle, the dose keys are disabled.

Once the washing cycle is completed with the tablet and solution, the rinsing procedure will begin, and the display will appear.

Press Enter

STEP 5: Reposition the container only with fresh water & put the tube inside.

Press the Enter key, the machine will now rinse with fresh water. After completing the washing cycle, the display will appear.

Finally, polish the exterior of your coffee machine with a damp soft cloth.

NOW THE MACHINE IS READY FOR USE.

 

DO's

• Use only potable water in the machine, as it contains a steam boiler to dispense milk.
• Ensure that the water tank is filled with enough water before you start the cleaning process.
• At the end of each day, cleaning with a tablet/solution is required for the good performance of the machine.
• Rinse the milk circuit with a glass of fresh water, if the machine is idle for more than an hour without dispensation.
• Replenish the bean hopper according to daily consumption and keep the remaining beans in an airtight container to retain the aroma.
• Coffee beans packet once opened must be used within 2-3 days.
• Keep the cleaning tablet/solution away from foodstuff/raw materials.
• Keep the machine and its surroundings clean to keep the rodents away.

 

DONT's

• Do not switch OFF the machine during the cleaning process. If interrupted, the machine will start the cleaning when switched ON.
• Do not operate the machine with an empty water tank.
• Do not try to repair the machine on your own, call the technician for technical assistance.
